Monday, Monday

Even though today wasn't what we call a 'slow news day,' there wasn't a lot for me to do in the office. After a few hours and making sure no one needed help, I decided to step outside for some air and a snack. Very few things beat the homemade licorice in the greenroom, but I decided I would try my best to find an alternative.

I walked under the building through the Concourse that leads to Rockefeller Center and up onto 49th Street. The first things I saw were the Time and Life building, Radio City Music Hall. But, by far the most appreciated was Magnolia. Usually, I would not like to patronize places like Magnolia because of all of the media attention they receive.
There was something about the comming storm in the air, the 6:00 pm hunger pangs and the way the name was delicately printed on the windows that sent me over. Once inside, the business suited men talking through their ear pieces and upper east side looking women told me I may have made the right choice. Surely, if these executives could find time to sneak away from their desks for a bakery treat, it must be one heck of a cupcake.

Unfortunately, I wasn't completely blown away. Sadly, for me, it was just a cupcake.

The choices weren't extensive.
